It all started when country/pop star Taylor Swift came to Denver, Colorado to play a concert during June of 2013.
The very attractive and popular country and pop music singer performed for a sold out crowd in America’s Mile High City when the incident that brought about the lawsuits happened.
The whole thing started after Taylor Swift’s show when David Mueller, a popular radio personality/disc jockey in the Denver area that used to work for the city’s most popular country music radio station 98.5 KYGO, met Miss Swift after the show.
The famous radio DJ and Taylor Swift met up and did a photo shoot together after Swift performed her concert. While posing for the photo Taylor Swift suddenly felt a human hand work its way up her dress and caress her butt cheek.
The pop star tried not to ruin the moment and kept her composure but tried to nonchalantly move out of the way of the inappropriate butt grab. According to reports by Miss Swift, no matter what she tried to do to remove herself from the grip of the butt groper’s hand, she was unable to escape the groping.
Members of Taylor Swift’s security team also noticed the inappropriate groping and immediately pointed their finger at Denver radio DJ David Mueller. Allegedly the defense team for Taylor Swift has even produced a photograph that shows David Mueller’s hand up Taylor Swift’s dress.
Even though the photograph has not been released to the public, the allegations were enough to get the semi-famous Denver radio personality (David Mueller) fired from his position at Denver radio station KYGO 98.5.
Mueller was the first one to sue when he filed a lawsuit against the world famous pop star in September 2015. His case was that he got fired from his $150,000 a year job at KYGO and was denied many other job opportunities due to Taylor Swift and her security team’s allegations.
His side of the story was that it was not him that committed the groping but his boss at the time, Eddie Haskell. He continues to claim that he heard Mr. Haskell bragging about touching Taylor Swift’s butt during the post-concert photo shoot.
In October 2015 Miss Taylor Swift fought back and filed a counter lawsuit against David Mueller and demanded that the case be heard by a jury trial. Her purpose of the counter suit was to stand up for herself and for other women that have had similar things happen to them.
Taylor Swift has vowed to donate any money earned in the lawsuit to efforts to prevent sexual assault and other similar celebrity groping situations in the future.
