Ryan Murphy’s anthology and FX horror-thriller series, American Horror Story will be down one favorite star, Kathy Bates.
Kathy Bates starred in Misery, Fried Green Tomatoes, Harry’s Law, and American Horror Story. Along with a whole slew of others, and she has been an American favorite for quite some time now.
Apparently, Miss Bates will be missing from the upcoming season 7 due to schedule conflicts on what would have been her fifth consecutive season. I’m sure she will be missed, but under the circumstances, who could blame her?
Miss Bates starred in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth seasons of American Horror Story. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will not be appearing in this year’s installment entitled, “Cult”.
THR reports that Bates is having a schedule conflict with the soon to stream Netflix series Disjointed. A new pot comedy in which Bates will be starring as Ruth Whitefeather Feldman. A lifelong advocate in the battle to legalize marijuana, and a laid back and definitely “in charge” mom and dispensary owner.
Miss Bates will have a son and a group of “budtenders” to help her run her Los Angeles marijuana shop and cannabis dispensary, which is a long-awaited dream of hers. Fans are overcome with anticipation, and Netflix will begin streaming Disjointed on August 25th.
Netflix has committed to a 20-episode series and Chuck Lorre will be the comedy’s mainstay. Chuck Lorre has a net worth over 600 million. He has created sitcoms such as Grace Under Fire, Cybill, Two and a Half Men. He was also executive producer Roseanne, back in the day.
We’re in for a treat, that is no question, but I’m sure the impact of losing one of their most adorable and favorite actresses is not going to be easy for American Horror Story, but I guess they’ll have to get over it.
